Appearance: Amber is blonde, leggy and lean, and very pretty. Her personal taste runs somewhere between businesslike and severe by default; she likes to look well put together without ever looking slutty.

Personality: Amber is ambitious, competitive, and impatient. She has a strong sense of self-confidence and self-containment; she detests the idea of being weak. In many ways the mirror image of Dr. House, she is brash and cutting and never stops think about emotions.She always has to be right, she always has to be the best and that, she thinks, is that.

She is dominating and dominant, forthright and tactless. But she isn't without a heart - you just have to earn her respect to see it (and good luck with that).

History: An ambitious girl right from the outset, Amber was a ruthless student who attacked her way through medical school, specialising in interventional radiology. When her practicing position wasn't quite enough, she applied to be a fellow in Dr. House's diagnostic team at Princeton-Plainsboro teaching hospital. She held onto her current job during the process of application, not willing to risk her chances and career on a new opportunity.

Despite her capability and strong competitive plan of attack, Amber didn't make it onto the team, becoming the very last doctor eliminated - Because Amber needed to win all the time, and to work for House, she needed to be willing to lose.

She returned to her old job, but the experience wasn't entirely wasted: she met James Wilson and actually, genuinely, fell in love. She is surprisingly happy about seeing him, even if House doesn't seem to approve.
(NB: Amber is taken directly before House's Head/Wilson's Heart, so obvs before the bus crash and her death :( )!
